Why are hula shirts popular?

In the 1940s, the popularity of Hawaiian shirts skyrocketed thanks in part to celebrities like John Wayne and Bing Crosby, who were often seen wearing them on screen. The shirts were also popular with surfers and beachgoers, and by the 1950s, Hawaiian shirts had become a symbol of relaxed, carefree living.

Mauna Kea has changed the game with their hula shirts. View Here.
