How Stella McCartney began

Stella McCartney studied at Central Saint Martins, made her name as creative director of Chloé in the late 1990s, and launched her own house in 2001. From day one she made a choice that set her apart: no leather and no fur, anywhere. At the time it seemed almost unthinkable for a luxury brand. Today it looks prophetic.
